How to Fix Error Quickbooks requires that you reboot loop?

SamSon

When we run QuickBooks as administrator to install the update, it simply instructs us to reboot, but this does nothing. QuickBooks keeps claiming to have an update. I attempted to launch Quickbooks in administrator mode, but the loop persisted. Has anyone else run into the same problem?

Hello, @SamJon. I've read about your concern, and it's great that you discussed it here so that everyone in the community will be aware of it. So I am ha,ppy to assist you and inform you of some of the most effective and successful ways to remove this error.

Solution 1: Utilize the QuickBooks Tool Hub's Quick Fix My Program feature.

  • You must first close QuickBooks before you can begin the process.
  • Get the most recent version of QuickBooks Tool Hub now.
  • Save the specific file now to a convenient location.
  • Now, double-click the downloaded file to open it.
  • Now, follow the installation instructions on the screen and accept the terms and conditions.
  • Once the installation is complete, launch the tool hub by pressing the icon twice on the Windows desktop.
  • Choose the Program Issues tab once the tool hub has opened.
  • Choose the option to "Quick Fix My Program."
  • You can now open the data file after starting QuickBooks Desktop.
  • After that, restart the system.

  • Solution 2: Modify the Temporary Folders' Permission Settings

  • To start, hit the Windows key.
  • You must now enter %temp% in the search field.
  • Once the specific Windows TEMP folder has been opened, right-click on it and choose Properties.
  • Click Edit after selecting the Security tab from the Properties screen.
  • Choose the Windows username.

  • Select the Task Manager option now.
  • Click the Process tab now.
  • Use the right-click menu to choose any QuickBooks Process.
  • After this, click "End Process."
  • A confirmation process will be sent to you. During that procedure, select End all processes.
  • Solution 5: Make use of the QB Install Diagnostic tool.

  • Launch the Tool Hub for QuickBooks.
  • Proceed to the installation problems button now.
  • The QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool is now available.
  • Launch the specific tool and let it perform the necessary scan.
  • After identifying the issue, the tool automatically carries out the necessary actions to resolve it. It takes a long time.
  • To save the modifications, restart the computer now.

Before this, i was also facing the same issue and the repeated occurrence of this error. “Quickbooks require that you reboot loop”; similarly, there was no benefit even after rebooting. But when I got through this post and read all the comprehensive solutions they have posted, this error disappeared, and now i can work on Quickbooks smoothly.

Thank you, @TomKen, for such brief solutions. After going through your post, I installed the QuickBooks install diagnostic tool, which really helped me solve this error in a short while, which I had been stuck with for the past month.

Following the installation of the updates, I began seeing the message, “Quickbooks requires you to REBOOT your computer to complete the installation.” I’ve restarted multiple times, performed every diagnostic available through QB ToolHub, and Uninstalled and reinstalled QB, but to no avail. What should i do next?
