he wanted a "Harrison Ford type," and went to audition people similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to bring it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, which would generate interest from other major actors.

Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was excited nonetheless.. I’ve seen the first two episodes and I find them compelling.
I also respect the way it’s presented – it’s not doing something that other therapists should be doing, and that’s pretty clear
Part of the reason is that I have found that there is something that is reality-based about a therapist who needs therapy and wants to break through to his patients to unexpectedly break through his own problems. It didn’t get into the silly situations of other shows like Loot, but it’s still early in the series and I’ll continue to watch it.
The show is not for everyone
That being said, I enjoy the depth of characters that don’t look like caricatures; they are people I am interested in getting to know.
